Spa Chicks On-The-Go ® founder, Marie Scalogna-Watkinson, LMT is a renowned celebrity massage therapist and spa expert with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Marie's professionalism and unique vision has led Spa Chicks On-The-Go ® to be one of the most respected names in the spa event industry that sets the standards of excellence year after year. Marie's expertise has been featured on The Apprentice 3, Today Show, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, Montel Williams, My Fair Wedding, NY 1 News, Fox 5 News, CW11 News, Party Girl, Wall Street Journal Weekend, Better Homes and Gardens TV, Cover shot, Isaac and Relationship Rehab. She has also been featured in The New York Times, InStyle Magazine, WWD, Lucky Magazine, New York Magazine, Crain's Business, Biz Bash, Redbook, Prevention, Fit Pregnancy, Modern Bride, Life and Style and OK! Magazine - just to name a few.
Marie is a New York Licensed Massage Therapist who is a 1991 graduate of the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy and proud member of the American Massage Therapy Association. In addition to working in a variety of sports medicine and spa settings, Marie served as company massage therapist for Saturday Night Fever on Broadway and also held the title of Massage Director for the acclaimed Ajune Spa. From 1998-2003, Marie operated a very successful professional medical massage practice on 57th Street with office visits and home calls. During the span of her professional career she has personally performed thousands of massages to celebrities, executives, socialites, athletes and dancers as well as the average stressed-out New Yorker. In 2003, Marie launched Mama Spa ® – a traveling prenatal massage service that caters to pregnant women in New York. Later that same year, she launched Spa Chicks On-The-Go ® - the mobile spa event company that pioneered the concept on-site spa experiences within special events in New York City.
In addition to serving as event director for all Spa Chicks On-The-Go ® special events, Marie also enjoys a successful career as a professional spa consultant and spa event marketing expert. Her private consulting services been tapped by brands such as Tweezerman, Molton Brown, Biore, Nivea, Soft Soap and Suave – who have called upon her for special projects. The appearance of Spa Chicks On-The-Go ® during a 2005 episode on THE APPRENTICE 3 sparked a reunion between Marie and her high school sweetheart. They are now married with beautiful son, Ryan.
